Max’s Kansas City was the epicenter of pop art, punk, glam rock and underground cultural cool in New York City from 1965-1982.

A social club and melting pot for the creative world’s most talented and revolutionary personalities, Max’s was home to and launched the careers of countless stars in art, music and fashion.

Regulars included Andy Warhol, Betsey Johnson, The Velvet Underground, Debbie Harry, Patti Smith, John Chamberlain, Robert Mapplethorpe and more.
