For more than three decades, Raul Malo demonstrated an unfailing skill for getting people to groove. His free-wheeling, swaggering style as a solo artist, and frontman for The Mavericks, seamlessly blended neo-traditional country, rock ’n roll, and Latin rhythmic fervor; prominently featuring his lush, soaring baritone. His compositional achievements include the timeless hits “Here Comes the Rain,” “What A Crying Shame," “Dance The Night Away," “Back In Your Arms Again," and “All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down.” Widely recognized for his spirited performances and songwriting craftsmanship, he earned multiple Grammy, ACM, and CMA awards throughout his illustrious career.

Malo made history in 2020 with the first ever album to debut at the top of both the Latin Pop and Folk-Americana charts. For his commitment to the preservation of the multi-lingual American musical repertoire and steadfast championing of music education, he was honored with the American Music Award's Lifetime Achievement Award, and the National Music Council of the United States’ American Eagle Award.
